How have you developed a portfolio career
A career in music… for some, the phrase can feel elusive and difficult to pin down. For a long time, the only “viable” options seemed to be making it big as a performer or take the “easy” option and teach in a public school (for anybody that has stepped foot inside an elementary music room knows it is anything but “easy”).
Training for a career as a clarinetist is about more than learning notes and rhythms. One must learn about verbal and non-verbal communication, how to work with others, how to lead in a group, how to organize and time manage different types of tasks, and how to write and speak about music to non-professionals and the public.
