Backun Alpha Bb Clarinet Silver Keys
This Alpha is brand new. The Alpha is the clarinet we’d hand a beginning student who needs one instrument to do it all. Backun built the body from their own synthetic material, so it holds up to real life: cold football fields, hot band rooms, and the backseat of the family car. It’s lightweight, durable, and sounds consistent no matter where it’s played.
Inside, Backun uses a poly-cylindrical bore, the same kind of design thinking that goes into their professional clarinets. For a young player, that means a clarinet that responds evenly and gives back a warm, resonant sound as they build their fundamentals.
The keys are drop-forged and hardened, then finished in silver plating. That’s important on a student horn. Keys that bend or wear out quickly can throw off the pads and make a clarinet harder to play. These are built to stay put. The Alpha also comes ready to go. It includes a Backun Protégé Bb mouthpiece kit, so your student starts on a quality setup from day one instead of whatever mouthpiece happened to be in the case. From the first week of band class to the winter concert to marching season, the Alpha is one clarinet that can handle all of it.
Every used clarinet purchased through Lisa’s Clarinet Shop is professionally set up at no additional cost to you.
